On August 6, 2024, the Catholic Educational Association of the Philippines (CEAP) and the Coordinating Council of Private Educational Associations (COCOPEA) formalized a partnership with UNILAB by signing a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) to introduce the Tamang Alaga Program.

The signing ceremony was led by COCOPEA Chairperson and CEAP President Fr. Albert N. Delvo and Grupong Tamang Alaga (GTA) Program President Atty. Jose Mari A. Ochave. The event was also witnessed by CEAP Executive Director Mr. Jose Allan Arellano and GTA Consumer Cluster Head Ms. Maria Annelle Forbes, underscoring the importance of this collaboration.
Fr. Delvo and Atty. Ochave highlighted the potential impact of the Tamang Alaga Program in enhancing the health and well-being of educators and staff across the Philippines. The agreement also ensures that faculty and staff of CEAP and COCOPEA member schools will enjoy special deals on health and medical purchases, with more details to be shared with the schools in the coming weeks.

UNILAB, through its partnership with Steamlogic Inc., will manage product returns and exchanges and provide health and wellness education materials, while CEAP and COCOPEA will facilitate access to the Tamang Alaga online store and manage the necessary databases.

This collaboration is a testament to the shared commitment of CEAP, COCOPEA, and UNILAB to support the educational community's health needs.
