The CEAP National Office welcomed Bp. Charlie Inzon, D.D., of the Diocese of Jolo this morning for a consultative meeting with CEAP in relation to his recent appointment as Chairman of the newly established CBCP Episcopal Commission on Catholic Education, which has been separated from the Commission on Catechesis.
Bp. Charlie met with Fr. Albert N. Delvo, CEAP President, Mr. Jose Allan I. Arellano, CEAP Executive Director, and Fr. Raymond Arre, Chair of the CEAP Superintendents Conference to coordinate the organizing of the Commission. Fr. Raymond has been informed of the request of Bishop Charlie for him to be appointed as Executive Secretary of the new CBCP Commission as recommended by the CEAP President. The CEAP National Office will provide operational support to the new body as it navigates through its pioneering stage.
Bp. Charlie brought his appointment letter signed by CBCP Chair Bp. Pablo Virgilio David, DD, who concluded his message with a prayer "for the establishment of a dynamic and effective commission that will look into the state of Catholic education in the country thereby promoting its development for the common good of all catholic schools".
