CEAP concluded the successful run of the 2024 National Basic Education Commission Summit

Congratulations, CEAP NBEC!

The National Basic Education Commission (CEAP NBEC) successfully concluded today the two-day summit with the theme, “Education 2030: Realities, Resiliencies, and Recommendations”, at the Hotel Benilde Maison De La Salle.

More than 300 school heads, administrators and school personnel attended the event coming from almost 17 regions representing Catholic schools all over the country.

The CEAP President, Fr. Albert started the second day of the event with a message highlighting the important engagements of CEAP and COCOPEA, especially his participation to legislative and hearings at the Senate, House of Representatives and the Department of Education.

Today’s learning session focused on how to build “Resiliency Initiative towards Institutionalizing Teacher Empowerment” delivered by Dr. Felina Espique of the St. Louis University, Baguio City. Her session was moderated by Dr. Joselito Gutierrez of the same university.

Mr. Narcy Ador Dionisio, Chair of the NBEC capped the last session with a rousing synthesis of the two day event. He gave a list of recommendations and suggestions on how to best address the ills affecting private education and the dismal performance of Filipino students in the international assessment metrics.

Due to the surge in demand for a repeat of the summit by those who failed to register, the NBEC decided to organize another one in Cebu on May 2.
