On August 23, the Catholic Educational Association of the Philippines (CEAP) Region 10 held its annual assembly in Tangub City, Misamis Occidental.
The event centered around the theme "Pilgrims and Agents of Hope: Embracing Synodality," with CEAP National President Fr. Albert N. Delvo serving as the keynote speaker. Fr. Delvo urged Catholic educators to remain current with emerging trends while staying Christ-centered and energized to inculcate the Gospel's teachings.
The assembly also featured a heartfelt valedictory address from Fr. Macky Ceballos, the outgoing CEAP Region 10 Chairperson. He expressed his gratitude and joy as he stepped down from his role, reflecting on his tenure and the region's collaborative spirit.
Mr. Jay Velez, President of La Salle Academy - Iligan City, was elected as the new chairperson of CEAP Region 10. Other officers include Rev. Fr. Mark Harvey Elloren, SSJV as Vice Trustee, Dr. Glenne Rivera as Secretary, Rev. Fr. Carmelo Pocdol as Treasurer, and Rev. Fr. Max Ceballos, SSJV as Auditor. The new officers usher in a new phase for the region as it continues to promote Catholic education.
