CEAP National Office spearheads the launching of the CEAP Advocacy Program on the Rights of the Child

 

child_rights_seminarThe CEAP National Office acquired a grant from the Philippines Against Child Trafficking (PACT), an alliance of nongovernment organizations assisted by various international agencies like the UNICEF, Terre des Hommes-Netherlands and EU, to launch the CEAP Advocacy Program on the Rights of the Child.  The CEAP Plans and Programs Office, in cooperation with the Council for the Welfare of Children, Stairway Foundation, and Children's Laboratory for Drama in Education conducted two (2) seminars participated in by some CEAP NCR member schools.  At least 50 guidance counselors and student affairs coordinators participated in the seminars held at the CEAP lecture rooms last December 2007.  In January 2008, two (2) follow-up planning and consultative meetings with UNICEF officer and Sister Irene Torres to craft the CEAP plan toward integrating the rights of the child in various subjects at all levels, from basic to collegiate levels.
