Emergency Preparedness

CEAP enters into partnership with the Philippine National Red Cross Safety Services as part of its corporate social responsibility to ensure that all its member-schools are prepared for any disasters, calamities, risks, accidents and other emergencies that may affect their personnel, faculty and students as well as school properties.  The CEAP envisions that every school has an emergency team or teams and trained volunteers - faculty, school eprsonnel and students in first aid and basic life support system willing to be mobilized during emergencies.

Partnering for the Environment nad Sustainable Development

CEAP's thrust is also to be the best "steward of God's creation".  And, as a concrete expression of this mission, the CEAP is partnering with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources in widely disseminating information about the environment, educating all its members and their communities as well as organizing and mobilizing teams for the protection of the environment.  The CEAP has just completed secondary modules for all levels especially integrating biodiversity, environment and sustainable development in the school curricula.  The project was funded by the UNDP GEF Small Grants Programme, British Council and the Canada Fund for Local Initiatives.  It partnered with the Miriam College Environmental Studies Institute for the development of modules, and piloted these modules in 25 CEAP member-schools located in all the 16 regions of the CEAP.

Reversing the Education Crisis

The CEAP is supporting the group of civil society foundations called 57-75 Consortium which launched 57-75 Programme aimed at reversing the education crisis.  This is a programme that particularly aims at improving basic education especially comprehension, retention and achievement.

The ceremonial signing of the Memorandum of Understanding and Memorandum of Agreement with the Red Cross and 57-75 Consortium as well as with the DENR Environmental Management Bureau will be on the last day of the 2007 CEAP National Convention, September 14, 2007 at 11 o'clock in the morning at the Waterfront Hotel in Lahug, Cebu City.
