The chairmanship of the Coordinating Council of Private Educational Associations (COCOPEA) has been turned over officially to the CEAP from the Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities (PACU) in a formal turnover ceremony on October 15, 2007 at the Diamond Hotel, City of Manila. The CEAP will chair the COCOPEA from 2007-2009. Officials from the government's education agencies as well as representatives of the COCOPEA members and some public and private universities witnessed the occasion.
